Aquino wants Villar to take Lie-detector Test, Lifestyle cCeck

MANILA, Philippines -- Liberal Party (LP) bet Senator Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III challenged Nacionalista Party (NP) bet Manuel “Manny” Villar to undergo a lie detector test and lifestyle check that were more relevant to the elections rather than a psychiatric test being espoused by him and his allies.

“Pasensyahan na lang (Sorry), but I won’t agree to that (psychiatric test). But I have no problem with a lie detector test and lifestyle check,” said Aquino to persistent challenges by Villar and his camp for the LP to answer to a bogus mental health report, which came from a biased source.

Aquino pointed out that Villar himself needed a mental health examination for insisting on a patently bogus report.

“Isn’t sanity about accepting reality? There is a fake report where all those who have been attributed in it have claimed it was fake and yet he will insist that I answer that? Who should have his head examined—someone who is forcing something that is proven to be false and someone who cannot accept the reality that a document is fake? Why does he want us to go into his world where we have to treat as truth something which is fake?” asked Aquino.

Aquino said that he would be willing to give Villar help to retain his mental health by escorting him to a mental hospital.

In a press conference, Aquino cautioned the media against falling into the script being written by Villar to attack him—come out with wild accusations through text messages, Internet blogs, and e-mails and have the media legitimize it by getting reactions or confirmations.

“Why do we have to read a fake document that has no basis? They come out with this script and throw these things against me so they can be on the front page every day for two weeks,” said Aquino.

LP campaign manager Florencio “Butch” Abad Jr. said the document, which was the basis of an erroneous report on Aquino’s mental health, was fake and should not be used as an election issue.

“They do not want to accept it as a bogus document so the camp of Senator Villar should be the one to submit to a lie detector test and not psychiatric test because he they are the ones making all these lies. That issue is over because there is no truth to it,” said Abad.

LP vice president bet Manuel “Mar” Roxas II said Villar was the purveyor of all things fake in the elections—fake report, fake opposition candidate, and fake alliance with the Nationalist People’s Coalition.

After making up stuff against him, his mother and grandfather and exploiting the mistake of his nephew Baby James, Aquino said his critics would probably claim that his diploma from Ateneo de Manila was fake and he got help in securing it from LP senatorial bet Ralph Recto. (Recto Avenue is regarded as the hotbed of bogus documents in Metro Manila).
