A woman was found stabbed to death before dawn Sunday inside a motel room in Quezon City after checking in with a man who, police said, could be the killer. Police desk officer Gerry Abad identified the victim as Rosalinda Sumalinog, 28, of Doña Nicasia Street, Doña Carmen Subdivision, Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City. Abad said Sumalinog was already dead when roomboys found her at 4:20 a.m. inside Room 8 on the third floor of Confiado Apartelle located on E. delos Santos Avenue in Barangay Immaculate Conception, Cubao, QC. The woman was sprawled on the bed, covered in bed sheet and bore two stab wounds in the neck. Abad said the suspect was only known as a certain Jayson, based on the motel logbook. Roomboy Bleu Baniqued told investigators that Sumalinog and Jayson checked in at 3:55 a.m. Another roomboy, Alvin Buncag, also told police that at past 4 a.m., he saw Jayson hurriedly leave the room. Buncag said when Jayson saw, the latter sped to the second floor and jumped out of the building through the fire escape. Sensing something wrong, Buncag immediately went to the third-floor room where Jayson checked in and found the Sumalinog’s body all bloodied up. Source: Tempo
